Self Run 3D Print Shop

How It Began?

In my second year in the Syracuse University Industrial Design program I purchased my first FDM printer. From that point on I became fascinated in learning the ins and outs of 3D Printing Technology. Since then I have acquired two additional FDM printers and one SLA printer. With my growing knowledge of rapid prototyping technology I decided in 2020 to open up a self run print shop where I manage a total of six printers. I utilize my knowledge and equipment to educate others as well on how 3D printing works.

External Adapter Case:

This adapter case was designed and printed to prevent cords from bending and splitting over time. Multiple iterations were made to meet the needs of the user and better protect this device.

Client Scan

This client asked for an existing 3D scan of themselves to be printed. This is printed on SLA printer in grey resin. Scale: 3.5” tall

Chili Trophy

Commissioned trophy for the Syracuse University School of Design annual chili contest. Consists of FDM printed main body to resemble the School of Design Warehouse and SLA pepper and name plate.

Student Projects

Often I am asked to help print and consult on designs for print manufacturing for students. Such assistance consists of helping choose the right materials for the applications, proper tolerance for parts, print orientation, finishing processes and more.
